High Bit-Rate Designs - Timing closure is key to high BW, high bit rate LVDS and SERDES based FPGA interconnects. LSF has expertise in this area as well as in implementing high speed clocks both internal to the FPGA and at the board level.
Embedded Designs - We have embedded systems experience using a wide range of processors and DSP's: PowerPC (401, 405, 441), TI TMS54x, AMD, 68K, & x86, and bus topologies such as PCI, PCI-X, PCIe, I2C, VME, VME64, SPI, SPI4.2, AUI, XAUI, Serial LVDS, DDR, DDR2, SRAM and FLASH across diverse products such as Video Servers, Laser printers, Fax servers, Environmental control, Encryption and Storage.
Scientific Applications - Our design history includes several DSP based and
closed loop control systems for inertial measurment and attitude reference &
heading systems (AHRS). These systems invlolve FPGA design, DSP selection and
coding including Matlab, Simulink and Stateflow coding for the DSP.
Design Verification - We are adept at building DV environments for it's own FPGA designs as well as for testing customer implemented FPGA's. Our DV environment will cover all directed and random testing required to ensure a low bug rate in the lab once the device is programmed.
Board-Level Design Services - We have experience with board-level designs for products ranging from postage stamp sized PCBs containing 10's of components to large blade class PCBs containing 1000's of components. PCB designs include high speed LVDS, high density interconnect, digital, analog, mixed signal, A/D and D/A converters, power supply, optical components, transistor, FET and many other circuit types.
Turnkey Board Services - In addition to board-level design services, we can provide layout, fabrication, component procurement, assembly using internal and partner services, and can provide board debug and screening in our lab.
Cost Sensitive Designs - At LSF we always consider the product cost and try to balance design decisions based on that. If your product is expected to ship 1000's of units, the design decisions will likely differ from a product that is a one time build or very low production run. Regardless, we will always work with you to find the right cost point for your product.
